Alpha | St George's Church

This Sunday is Pentecost Sunday. We celebrate this as the 'Birthday of the Church' when the Holy Spirit came in power and gave the early followers of Jesus the confidence to share the good news. There will be a Pentecost service streamed on Sunday at 10.45 on Facebook by Rev Martine Crabtree. We come to the end of the series praying 'Thy Kingdom come' but we continue to pray for love of Christ Jesus to light up every corner of this dark world. We also continue to pray for those ill with Covid 19 and the people working so hard to treat them for it. There is a booklet to help us to pray about the impact of Covid 19. You can find those prayers on the 'What's on' page with the services as well as on the face book page. Join St George's for Morning Worship on Facebook at 10am Monday to Thursday and Holy Communion live streamed at 10.45 on Sundays. The prayers and readings for this service can be found on the right side bar of the 'Whats on' page. Please keep yourselves safe and if we can help you or pray for you do let us know by using the forms on this website.

Alpha

Alpha at St George's

We started running Alpha at St George's last Easter and everyone said that they found it very helpful and enjoyable. Alpha is a course about the Christian Faith that happens in hundreds of churches in Britain and across the world. Alpha is designed to help you to explore the big questions about life and the Christian Faith in a relaxed situation. Each week we begin with a meal together, we watch a video and then we think and talk about any questions and comments this has raised.

We are running another course through Autumn 2013 and a further one is planned for January 2013 and if you would be interested in joining please let us know in good time.

If you would like to join a course or find out more please just send us a message on the form below.
