Home Groups | St George's Church

As we are in National Lockdown the services from St George's will be on line at 10.45 each Sunday and the church is closed for public worship until the situation improves. Service sheets are on 'Whats on' page of this website. The PCC will consider the situation and when to reopen for worship at their meeting on the 2nd Tuesday of each month. A letter from the Wakefield Medical Officer of Health is in the information below. Please pray for our community and particularly those who are working to care for those who are ill and those who are providing vaccinations as well those suffering from the wide ranging effects of Covid 19. Keep safe and help each other to keep well.

Home Groups

Many people at St George's attend home groups. These meet in people's homes and offer time for to get to know each other over a cup of coffee and building friendships within the church congregation. There are also discussions, generally based on the Bible, helping us to explore our faith and support each other on our spiritual journey.

There are home groups meeting during the day and during the evening. Some meet weekly and some monthly. Everyone is welcome to join a group and Rev'd Martine will be happy to suggest one that is most appropriate to you. If you want to join one use the message box at the bottom of the page to contact Martine about this.

The home groups meet:

Tuesday - 7.30 pm most weeks led by Mick and Jane Read

Wednesday - 7.30 pm fortnightly led by Freda Jackson

Thursday - 7.30 pm weekly led by Pauline Ward

Friday - Evening bi-monthly, led by Juliet Taylor and Christine Lynch
