News | Mothering Sunday | St George's Church

As we are in National Lockdown and are currently asked to 'stay at home', the services from St George's will be on line at 10.45 each Sunday and the church will be closed for public worship until the situation improves. Service sheets are on 'Whats on' page of this website. The PCC will consider the situation and when to reopen for worship at their meeting on the 2nd Tuesday of each month. A letter from the Wakefield Medical Officer of Health is in the information below. Please pray for our community and particularly those who are working to care for those who are ill and those who are providing vaccinations as well those suffering from the wide ranging effects of Covid 19. Keep safe and help each other to keep well.

Mothering Sunday

We had an encouraging service on Mothering Sunday and people received beautiful bunches of daffodils to remind us all of the love and care we receive from the church. We are very grateful to Wakefield Funeral Services for donating the many bunches of daffodils we shared and took to the homes of people who were alone or unable to come to church on Sunday.
