News | Thank you to 44th Wakefield Brownies | St George's Church

As we are in National Lockdown and are currently asked to 'stay at home', the services from St George's will be on line at 10.45 each Sunday and the church will be closed for public worship until the situation improves. Service sheets are on 'Whats on' page of this website. The PCC will consider the situation and when to reopen for worship at their meeting on the 2nd Tuesday of each month. A letter from the Wakefield Medical Officer of Health is in the information below. Please pray for our community and particularly those who are working to care for those who are ill and those who are providing vaccinations as well those suffering from the wide ranging effects of Covid 19. Keep safe and help each other to keep well.

Thank you to 44th Wakefield Brownies

A great big thank you to the wonderful Brownies of 44th Wakefield who have donated lots of food to our Food Bank.

The Brownies were learning about caring for others and community issues and this was part of their preparation to achieve that badge. They showed a real understanding and care for people and the food they donated will help some people in real need next week.
