News | Cathedral Academy Easter service | St George's Church

As we are in National Lockdown and are currently asked to 'stay at home', the services from St George's will be on line at 10.45 each Sunday and the church will be closed for public worship until the situation improves. Service sheets are on 'Whats on' page of this website. The PCC will consider the situation and when to reopen for worship at their meeting on the 2nd Tuesday of each month. A letter from the Wakefield Medical Officer of Health is in the information below. Please pray for our community and particularly those who are working to care for those who are ill and those who are providing vaccinations as well those suffering from the wide ranging effects of Covid 19. Keep safe and help each other to keep well.

Cathedral Academy Easter service

Year 9 Students from the Cathedral Academy came to St George's for a time of Worship and

quiet reflection about Holy Week and Easter. They thought about seeing things from different view points, considered the story of Jesus death and

reflected on the need to forgive. It was good to have such positive and confident students in church today.
