News | Thy Kingdom Come week of prayer at St George's | St George's Church

As we are in National Lockdown and are currently asked to 'stay at home', the services from St George's will be on line at 10.45 each Sunday and the church will be closed for public worship until the situation improves. Service sheets are on 'Whats on' page of this website. The PCC will consider the situation and when to reopen for worship at their meeting on the 2nd Tuesday of each month. A letter from the Wakefield Medical Officer of Health is in the information below. Please pray for our community and particularly those who are working to care for those who are ill and those who are providing vaccinations as well those suffering from the wide ranging effects of Covid 19. Keep safe and help each other to keep well.

Thy Kingdom Come week of prayer at St George's

As part of the worldwide prayer initiative called "Thy Kingdom Come", we are launching a week of prayer from Sunday 13 May to Sunday 20 May.

The week will start off with a praise and worship service at 7pm on 13 May, and end with a healing service at 7pm on Sunday 20 May. Church will be open throughout the week, including in the evenings, for prayer. You can engage with the 7 prayer stations that will be set up, or just come to sit quietly to reflect and pray on your own or with friends.

We look forward to welcoming you to St George's Church during the week.

You can find the poster advertising the week here.
