Special Services | St George's Church

As we are in National Lockdown the services from St George's will be on line at 10.45 each Sunday and the church is closed for public worship until the situation improves. Service sheets are on 'Whats on' page of this website. The PCC will consider the situation and when to reopen for worship at their meeting on the 2nd Tuesday of each month. A letter from the Wakefield Medical Officer of Health is in the information below. Please pray for our community and particularly those who are working to care for those who are ill and those who are providing vaccinations as well those suffering from the wide ranging effects of Covid 19. Keep safe and help each other to keep well.

Special Services

At St George's we are always pleased to welcome families at special times in their lives. The vicar, Rev'd Martine Crabtree, and her ministry team are always pleased to support and help you at these times.

It may be that, as a couple, you are taking that step of commitment to each other through marriage. Information on the 'weddings' page will help you to make plans and link you to other sites you may find useful.

It may be that you are coming to celebrate a new life and bringing a child to be christened or baptised, the Baptism page will help you to get in touch and explain what your family will need to do.

It may be that at a very sad time in your life to remember and celebrate the life of someone very dear to you at their funeral or memorial service.

The next few pages tell you what you need to know and how we hope to be able to help you.
