A Sensory Nativity

During the morning service we had our Sensory Nativity where we exlpored the Christmas Story using our senses. We used lots of everyday items to recreate how things might have felt, or sounded, or looked like. We thought about how it feels to be afraid like Mary felt when she was visited by the angel Gabriel. We used scarves to represent the wind created by the Holy Spirit. We tasted salty water when we thought about Mary's tears. We smelt hay to think about what the manger might have been like and baby powder on cotton wool to help us think about Jesus. There was much more besides!
