The weekly services at St George's are on Sundays and Thursdays.
Each Sunday morning there is a service at 10.45am. On the first, third, fourth and fifth Sunday of each month there is a service of Holy Communion. The whole church meets together and then Junior Church (our 4-16 year olds) go for their own teaching and activities.
After the service many people stay for a drink and a chat. Families with younger children are very welcome too, and there is a soft play area and book bags to help these little ones feel at home in church.
On the second Sunday of each month we have a service of All Age Worship at 10:45am. The morning service is planned by different members of the ministry team, usually to a particular theme, and is a more interactive service.
On a Thursday morning at 10:00am there is also a service of Holy Communion. This is quite informal and as we share communion we also think about the Bible passage set for the day and pray for our community. After this service people may stop for a coffee and a chat in the Community Cafe.
Once a month, usually the first Sunday, it is possible that there will be a baptism during the morning service.
We also have special services during the year to celebrate key points in the church year.
