News | A wonderful gift to to the Fooodbank | St George's Church

As we are in National Lockdown and are currently asked to 'stay at home', the services from St George's will be on line at 10.45 each Sunday and the church will be closed for public worship until the situation improves. Service sheets are on 'Whats on' page of this website. The PCC will consider the situation and when to reopen for worship at their meeting on the 2nd Tuesday of each month. A letter from the Wakefield Medical Officer of Health is in the information below. Please pray for our community and particularly those who are working to care for those who are ill and those who are providing vaccinations as well those suffering from the wide ranging effects of Covid 19. Keep safe and help each other to keep well.

A wonderful gift to to the Fooodbank

As food bank closed today a young man appeared with a very large donation of food and toiletries. Martin's generosity will enable us to help many people over the next few weeks. He said that a few years ago things had been tough for him and he hadn't forgotten just how difficult things can be. He is often around St George's and he had noticed the food bank and our clients. So, as things are now going well for him he decided it was time to share what he has with others. God Bless you Martin.
